Brachioplasty...The Facelift of the Upper Arms
Who is a candidate? If you have unsightly sagging skin on the upper arms due to aging, genetics, or weight loss, you may be an excellent candidate for brachioplasty, or upper arm lift.
The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm). Recovery is usually fairly quick with minimal discomfort. Most swelling and bruising typically go away in two to three weeks.
Patients are happy to wear spaghetti or halter tops, spring dresses and short sleeve blouses again. If treated earlier (late 20s, 30s, or 40s), one may be able to reduce the thickness of the upper arm with Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction alone. This works if the fat is removed at an earlier stage before gravity comes into play and stretches the skin. Early intervention is recommended with a family history of loose upper arm skin.

If you have experienced a loss of skin elasticity of
the thigh, hip, or buttocks area, you may benefit from
a thigh-buttock lift.
Dr. Halpern will show you what procedures are available
to solve your particular problem. Wide variations in
the design of the incisions to meet clothing or personal
desires are possible. Lifting the inner thighs requires
only short incisions extending from the thigh/groin crease
around to the buttock crease.
Lateral, or front thigh lifts, can be performed as separate
procedures if desired. Lifting the entire thigh and buttock
will require much longer incisions that start in the
buttock crease, extend around the groin up over the side
of the abdomen, over the flank and across the back.
Bruising and swelling are usually minimal. Exercise can resume in three to four weeks. After recovery is complete, you will experience a tighter, more attractive
thigh and buttock area. Improved contours and smooth
skin provide renewed confidence and improve overall lifestyle.
